An ID verifier is a designated person within a cricketing club or instituation who can both initiate DBS applications for its members and verify an applicant’s ID documents as part of their application.
This person is normally the Club Welfare Officer but it doesn’t have to be. They could be a trusted safeguarding recruiter who works closely with the Welfare Officer.
It is important for a verifier to be flexible and available for face-to-face meetings with applicants who need to get their documents verified.
Please speak to your club or County Board if you are interested in becoming a ECB DBS verifier.
