Update Service - Opting out Follow
When DBS have received your result, you will receive an email confirming this. This email will also contain information on how to register your certificate onto the Update Service. There will be an option to opt out of this service if you wish, with a link to do this.
If you do opt out within 25 days of subscription confirmation, your DBS will expire after 1 year, at which point you will need to make a new application if you wish to continue in a DBS required cricketing role.
If you already have a registration to the Update Service for another certificate and wish to add your ECB Certificate, then we can guide you how to do this once your certificate has been issued.
If you choose to remain registered with the Update Service you will be contacted by the ECB via email every 12 months requesting permission to check your current DBS status.
OPTING OUT: You may choose to opt out at at each annual recheck (and deny the status check), in which case you will no longer be eligible to work with children in cricket. If you are happy for the recheck to take place, then no action is required, you will remain on the Update Service and a check will be carried out.
We will only contact you if any changes in your circumstances are detected that require clarification or a new application.
You may edit your contact or payment details on you Update Service subscription by visiting the link in your original email, or the one below and logging in:
