Once an applicant has completed and submitted their application, they don't really need to use the DBS system again after that.
However, the applicant can login to the system at https://ecb.disclosures.co.uk/ at any time to check on the basic status of their application.
The applicant will receive email updates at different stages of their application or if there are any queries that require attention in order to complete the vetting checks.
Once their certificate has been issued they will be given the opportunity the register themselves to the DBS Update Service. This means that when we need to perform an annual recheck of their DBS status, we can quickly check the certificate linked to their Update Service account to see if anything has changed.
