You can contact your local County Board to enquire about First Aid courses they are running:
If you wish to go to do a First Aid course on your own, we would advise that you sign up to course that:
- is face-to-face
- has a practical assessment involved to pass
- provides you with a certificate of completion that is valid for 3 years
Based on this we would strongly advise against taking an online First Aid course, as should you find yourself in an emergency situation, you will benefit best from having had practical experience in administering First Aid to another individual.
Please also bear in mind that if you are working with children, the First Aid training should be in line with the age-group you aim to support.
In addition to standard First Aid training, the ECB have the following guidance/resources available to download from the website which can be used in conjunction with a basic First Aid course. These resources are useful for clubs/counties and any training provider that may be working in a cricket environment.:
