ID Verifier applicant on hold due to not having an ECB DBS

You may have people awaiting approval to become verifiers who do not have a valid DBS themselves. A person's DBS status can be checked using the ECB DBS Checker.

If this is the case, you first need to place their request on hold. Once you have done this, follow the steps below in order to send them an invitation to compete a DBS application.

1. From the 'Administration' tab in the main menu, select 'ID Verifier Management'.

2. From the 'Registration and Approval Reports' menu, choose 'ID Verifier on hold'. You must click the blue, hyperlinked numerical figure to the right.

3. Scroll down the list to find your person, then click the 'Apply to DBS' button on the right.

4. You will then be presented with the usual DBS initiation form. Check the person's details on the form are correct and click 'proceed'.

The person will now receive an email inviting them to complete their DBS application. Once this is complete and they have been cleared you may re-nominate them as an ID verifier.
