When you have content on your certificate i.e. information pertaining to a previous offence, caution or conviction, the ECB will ask you to post your certificate to Lord's (addressed to the safeguarding team) for further investigation.
This request will be made in the initial result confirmation email from the DBS team. A reminder email will also be sent to you on a weekly basis for 4 weeks if we do not receive your certificate after the first request.
If the 4 week deadline is not met, a letter will be sent to you (and a copy to your County Welfare Officer) notifying you that you are temporarily suspended from any and all cricketing activity under the auspices of the ECB. This includes spectating or even entering a ground.
In most cases, the suspension will be lifted once your certificate has been received by the ECB pending completion of the vetting process (this means you are again free to play, but not yet free to perform a regulated activity until you have had confirmation that the vetting process has been completed and you have been cleared).
