Some example of why you may need to re-open an event on CVENT would be (but are not restricted to):
if you wish to add a learner onto a course (if for example they turned up to the course on the day and were accepted but are yet to have officially registered)
if you were postponing an event and have now got a new proposed date to start the event
PLEASE NOTE that you can only re-open a 'Closed' course on CVENT - not a 'Completed' course.
You can see the course status on the 'Overview' tab once the event has loaded in CVENT.
If the event is 'Closed', then to re-open it.
Find the event in CVENT >
Go to the 'Event Details' tab >
Click 'Edit' >
Under 'When', change the dates to a future date (registration deadline, start date, end date & archive date) - please note:
if you are reopening the event to add a learner then ensure you make a note of the original dates so you can change all the dates back once the learner has registered
if you are changing the start date of the course, if it is a regulated course (e.g. Foundation 1 or Level 2) you will need to contact 1st4sport to ensure that they can change the start date on their systems, but this will only be possible if they have no delegates registered against the course. If they have even one delegate registered then the course start date cannot be changed and the course will need to be cancelled and set up again from scratch
If the event is 'Completed' you need to contact CVENT support to get the event status changed to 'Closed', either by;
calling 0808 234 6914
raising a support ticket by:
Copying the CVENT course code >
Clicking on 'Help & Support' (at the top of the page) >
Click on 'Open a Case' (on the left side of the page) >
Under 'Product', select 'Event Management' >
Under 'Concise Description', paste the CVENT course code >
Click 'Continue' > click 'Yes, create a case' >
Under 'Additional details' specify state that you wish to change the event status to closed >
Submit the case >
You will then need to check your CVENT cases in order to check whether you've received a response
