CVENT; Stop courses showing on the ECB website / Set event to private Follow
NB/ There must be a valid postcode in the event address field (on CVENT) because if there is no postcode, the course won't show on the ECB website.
To stop a course showing on the ECB website, you will need to amend the details for the event in CVENT:
Log in to CVENT >
Find and load the event >
Click on the 'Event Details' tab >
Click 'Edit' >
Under 'Custom Event Fields', click the drop-down next to 'Calendar' and set to blank >
Click 'Save' >
Click on the 'Advanced' tab >
Click 'Edit' >
Under 'Event Calendar' against 'Display this event on event calendars' select 'No' >
If you also wish for the course not to appear in and search engines (e.g. Google, Bing etc), which you may wish to do if for example you only wish to advertise the course on your own Counties website only, then;
Whilst still in the 'Advanced tab', under 'Search Engine Settings' against 'This event can appear in search engine results' select 'No'
Click 'Save'
The course should now be invisible on the ECB website (and if selected, will also no longer appear in search engine results online)
If you also wish to make a course private on CVENT (which means no one will be able to sign up to the course without physically being invited in to it), you will need to;
Log in to CVENT >
Find the event >
Click on the 'Event Details' tab >
Click 'Edit' >
Under 'Advanced Settings' select 'Private' >
'Save'
As you will now need to physically invite people on to the course, please go to the following article to see how to do this:
